Southern Yorke Peninsula Telecentre stocks local tourist information regarding attractions, events, accommodation and things to do in the area and is a resource centre for locals as well as incorporating Salt Lakes Gallery. Salt Lakes Gallery has something for everyone! Within walking distance from the Yorketown town centre, Salt Lakes Gallery is housed at the beautifully renovated Southern Yorke Peninsula Telecentre. Built in 1878, this fabulous and historic old building was originally the first solidly constructed school for the town. It remained a school for 98 years. The gallery is well supported with distinct and unique arts, crafts and gifts, and includes handmade candles, jewellery, golliwogs, rag dolls, knitted toys, art, ceramics, furniture, cards, metal art, the finest produce, and so much more - really worth the visit. Bulky purchases are deliverable by negotiation and new suppliers are welcome. If you have an eye for unique gifts - or something for yourself, please drop by. We look forward to seeing you.
