Truffle Lodge

Glamping - luxury camping, in one of Australia's first truffle orchards ,on the banks of the Derwent River. Guests stay in 5 spacious safari tents, fully equipped with king beds, lounges, heating and cooling, minibar, refrigerators, coffee machines, The attached ensuite bathrooms in water tanks feature hand-made wooden baths and separate rain shower. Each tent has a spacious deck with rocking chairs, and outdoor furniture, overlooking the river. Every tent has a spectacular river and valley view. Wooden walkways link the tents to the lodge buildings. The lodge buildings are also linked with timber decks and walkway,. The dining and lounge lodges overlook the river, and their glass walls offer wonderful views. Both have lush furnishings, rich timber, original artworks, and wood fires. The style is Australian bush camp meets Arabian Nights, with Steam Punk! The reception building welcomes guests, and includes a bar featuring local wines. Derwent Valley produce is highlighted in both breakfast and dinner menus. Activities include fly fishing, kayaking and biking, wild-life spotting, and walks in the truffle orchard.
