“The museum is full of wonderful pioneer displays and memorabilia, along with the local history of many pioneering people and industries.”
After months of work and years of collecting Tasman Historical Museum opened in January 2015. The museum is full of wonderful pioneer displays and memorabilia, along with the local history of many pioneering people and industries including the timber and blacksmithing industries. Aboriginal heritage is also a focus of the museum with the Parradarrama Pungenna Aboriginal Community who traditionally blessed the new attraction. The Tasman Historical Museum is open daily from 0900 to 1700 and is located on the corner of the Arthur Highway and Nubeena Road at Taranna on the Tasman Peninsula.
