Grampians National Park

Rising up from the surrounding Western Plains, the Grampians (Gariwerd) is a series of sandstone mountain ranges that are rugged, full of wildlife and ancient art, and make for some excellent camping. A network of walking tracks throughout the park takes you past waterfalls, spring wildflower displays, and stop-dead-in-your-tracks views from lookouts. Or, if you prefer to put your foot down you can drive to Reeds and Boroka lookouts for views of the park and the mighty MacKenzie Falls. The Grampains/Gariwerd has a rich Aboriginal heritage and a number of important rock art sites. Through their cultural traditions, Aboriginal people maintain their connection to their ancestral lands and waters in this park.
