“naturally occurring hot tub”

Encompassing the Liard River Hot Springs Provincial Park up to the Yukon Border, this portion of the Northern Rockies has much to offer. Enjoy a soak in the Liard River Hot Springs, fish at the base of Smith River Falls or hike along the picturesque Teeter Creek. The steamy warmth of the springs is a magnet for visitors year ‘round and a must-see, must-do destination in the Northern Rockies. For a most heavenly experience, soak in the hot pools, surrounded by the greenery of this unique ecosystem. Stroll the boardwalk through warm water marshes where moose make a regular appearance, and where hundreds of plant and bird species flourish. If you are travelling in the winter months, soak in the pools surrounded by snow and watch the northern lights dance above your head. Over 100 bird species make this tropical oasis their home due to the unique warm climate. Northern boreal species such as thrushes, warblers and sparrows are often seen.

This was the most wonderful place to stop and have a rest. There is a big empty lot across from the campground we stayed at because campground was full. There was a vault toilet there and nobody bothered us,plus it was free. You must pay to get in to the hot springs. They charged us $10 for 4 of us at a family rate.We almost did not stop on our way through,I am so glad we did.Do not pass this place up.There is a changing room right next to the hot spring and cubbies for your shoes and clothes. The hot spring has two sides one is warm and one is super hot .

Beautiful place to stop and easily accessable.

The location on the map is wrong but the signage is easy enough to find

Went in April, off-season. Just fill out form when you find a campsite and place with payment, near entrance. The campsites were piled with snow but the park had a few of them cleared out. So we put the tent out and stayed the night with out two dogs.
No dogs allowed on the trail though to the hot springs. Changing rooms are available.

The map where this is located is incorrect.

Liard Hot Springs is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. the best time to go is during the winter but summertime is also great fun there. You can stay at the nearby Liard hot springs lodge but I chose to stay at the Northern Rockies Lodge on Muncho Lake. The Northern Rockies Lodge is about half an hour drive from the springs and it is much nicer than the Liard Hot Springs Lodge. Check their website www.northernrockieslodge.com . There are also much more things to do around Muncho Lake.

This is a great place to go. It's relaxing and fun. Has a nice broadwalk to the springs and changing rooms. The temps of the springs change to cooler or hotter depending on how far away you are from the source. It was $5.00 a person but don't know what it is now. They also have a place for camping. We didn't stay as it was the end of September and in B.C. everything is closing down and getting ready for winter by then.

Liard lived up to its hype. I highly recommend going at the end of the season during September when the leaves are changing and the crowds have dwindled. I almost had the place entirely to myself! We met great folks up there, the springs were naturally wonderful, and the campsites and facilities were well-maintained. The only thing I wish they had was on-premises showers. I will 100% go back :)
