“21 metre tall aluminium pyramid”
Built by a group of citizens in memory of the 1996 flood, the Pyramide des Ha! Ha! is covered with 3,000 “yield” (in French: “céder”) traffic signs, which are bolted to an aluminum structure. These signs are meant to compel people to be helpful towards one another, as “céder”, which is pronounced the same way as “s’aider”, means “to help”. With a 21-meter height, the pyramid offers an unobstructed view of Baie des Ha! Ha!. During the summer season, free outdoor shows are often presented on Fridays or Saturdays, from June 23rd to July 28th. Also, every Sunday, family animations await visitors and begin at 1 PM. Musée du Fjord is responsible for guided tours and on-site interpretation.
