“The Royal New Zealand Engineer Corps Memorial Centre is a museum of considerable interest for the both seasoned military historian and interested public.”
There are a number of displays to cover all the campaigns that Royal Engineer Corps were involved with including a large display devoted to World War One. There are interactive displays for children and fascinating insight into past campaigns using real tools of the trade, miltaria and photographs. Guided tours are available.
The RNZ Engineer Corps Memorial Centre is open to the general public on Thursdays from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm (closed Public Holidays) or by appointment. It is located within Linton Military Camp, next to the beautiful and historic St Martin's RNZE and Garrison Chapel - be sure to bring photo ID with you to enter the camp and a gold coin donation for entry into the museum.
