“Learn the history of Ta Moko”
The National Tattoo Museum of New Zealand is a small, privately owned non-profit dedicated to the history of tattoo’ing in New Zealand, especially Maori traditional tattoo art known as “Ta Moko”.
Our collection features a mix of historical tattoo artifacts, tools, illustrations and information on techniques and styles, from New Zealand and the surrounding Pacific/Melanesian and Micronesian areas.
