Queenstown Mountain Guides are Queenstown's only professionally certified climbing, mountaineering, and ski mountaineering guiding company. New Zealand’s Southern Alps is our backyard and we have years of experience climbing, skiing, and guiding in every corner of this incredible mountain range. The Mt Cook area with the Tasman & Murchison glaciers offer some of the Southern Alps most spectacular powder and spring skiing, with incredible views of New Zealand's highest mountains, and long glacier ski runs. Our climbing and ski guides have the guiding and instructional skills needed to work on alpine rock, snow, and ice terrain, in both the summer and winter seasons. They can be seen guiding and providing instruction on the local rock crags, frozen waterfalls, heli-ski and backcountry ski guiding, and leading expeditions throughout the world’s high mountains. We use a helicopter to access the high mountain huts. Flying in enables us to bring in a good supply of food so we can enjoy relaxing with a good meal after a big day of riding.
