The Boutique Motel is the “Duck” of Ducks & Drakes. Comforting, functional, flowing. Ducks and Drakes Boutique Motel brings accommodation space alive with comfort, colour and flare. Each of the 2 studio rooms and 3 one bedroom suites have a unique layout and colour scheme – these are not your average beige and brown rooms that look like the inside of a box! Flowing seamlessly onto the sunny, grassed courtyard and gorgeous garden you will immediately feel at home. Free Ultrafast Fibre Wi-Fi, 50 Sky TV channels in every room and a fully appointed kitchen, ensure that you want for nothing.

The perfect base to explore Mt Taranaki, the many surfing spots along Surf Highway 45, the myriad of parks and gardens but especially the world renowned Pukekura Park which is within walking distance. Not to mention the Len Lye Centre, Coastal Walkway, Puke Ariki Museum, TSB Stadium, The Racecourse and the many cafes, bars and restaurants all within walking distance.

Backpackers

The Backpackers Hostel is the Drake. Proud. The Drake stands tall. Has seen much but talks of nothing. All secrets are safe. The thing about Ducks & Drakes Backpackers is that you will never forget your experience here. From the quirky décor, to the many living space options to suit any mood, you will instantly feel at home. Isn’t this what travellers want? The place is cleaned from top to bottom every day. Yes, you got it. heaters and spare blankets in every room. Heaters, fireplaces and joyous sunlight in the common areas. Free Ultrafast Fibre Wi-Fi and 50 Sky channels mean you stay connected.

Our largest dorm has only 6 beds. We also have a four bed dorm and four 3 bed dorms, one of which is female only. Plus we have private doubles, twins and cosy singles. Fresh towels are provided daily for our private rooms. A small towel hire charge of $2.00 for those staying in our 3, 4 and 6 bed dorms.
