It is so amazing to me, how beautiful this country really is!
We stopped by and bought a park passport, so we could keep track of all the National Park we were going to. Fun for the family!
If you don't have an America the Beautiful pass you need one!!!
It gets you into all the National Parks for a year!
Do some research, if you need more information about what is included. We have used it so much and seen so many things! It is a great value for a family who wants to see the United States!

I took a solo road trip and decided to check this out. Kind of a long drive. You can walk the perimeter of the base of the monument where you can see all of the inscriptions and return to your car from there. That might take you 20 minutes tops. At the top are Indian ruins and you must take a 3 mile round trip hike to see them... well worth it!! There is a pathway close to the information building that I suggest you take. It has stairs and handrails whereas the other option to enter from consists of steep switchbacks that could give anyone a heart attack. That is still a beautiful side of the monument so it would be worth it to exit that way

Unbelievable National Monument that is just dripping with history. This was one of the highlights of my southwest roadtrip and it did not disappoint. So many signatures...from pioneers to Spanish Explorers, Priests, US Army scouts and cavalry. You name it. It was surreal. If you're near this fantastic piece of history, please, please see it!

This park site gives you an incredible look into the human history of this part of the country. Very fascinating to see carvings from people over hundreds of years. The hike up on top of the butte is also great. A wonderful stop worth the detour for any NPS geeks.

I absolutely loved this treasure of a park! The 2 mile hike to the top is well worth it. Beautiful view of box canyon. And trail is carved with steps making it unique! At the bottom “graffiti” hundredths of years old! Amazing. Totally understated park!

Fee free fun hike. The history is stunning and it’s fun to think about the people who stopped at El Morro years ago. The hike up wasn’t too difficult and we loved every bit of it.

There in early March. Really cool place, to see how many old inscriptions along the Inscription trail. Nice hike then, up to the top. About an hour round trip. Very sure footed trail, just lean forward and get to walking.
