“beautiful lakes & scenic landscapes”
A short drive from Orlando, this park is noted for its beautiful lakes, rolling hills and scenic landscapes. Lake Louisa, the largest in a chain of 13 lakes, is designated an Outstanding Florida Water Way. Anglers can fish in four of the park’s six lakes, but gasoline powered engines are not allowed. Primitive camping facilities are available for equestrians. For hikers, there are more than 25 miles of trails. The park also has a full-facility 60-site campground and 20 furnished cabins for rent. Camping and cabin reservations can be made by visiting ReserveAmerica.com or by calling ReserveAmerica at (800) 326-3521, TDD (888) 433-0287. The park is located on US Highway 27 seven miles south of highway 50.

It's just the best. Lovely place. Camp and visit the Mouse. Takes about 30 min on uber and cost about $35-45 a uber ride. Before you say that's nuts, it cost $20. To park pulse rental. I DON'T WANT you to look at the cabins, why? I love them.
Love this place, sites are nice an large. Out on the country feel but close to anything you may need. We are here due to a repair on our awning & I had a dental emergency.
Lots to do.
Lake Louisa is a 4500 acre park located in Central Florida. There are a lot of hiking trails, biking trails and equestrian trails. There are 3 lakes within the park. Campsites are gravel and most are level and the bath houses were clean and looked fairly new. This park is a birders paradise. We stayed here in February and temperatures were great but this park would be brutally hot in the summer. The only ding for this park is the road noise from US 27.

We love this campground for when visiting friends in the area. It's close to the town of Clermont, Disney and Kissimmee - but yet you feel out in nature. It's a former orchard, turned over to the state.
The campground is a newer one in the park system and nestled between two lakes each with piers and kayak launches. A lot of care and attention has clearly gone into giving each spot it's own feeling of space. So many had excellent site separation and privacy.
The hiking trails are not well marked, but there are many of them - and you can spends countless hours exploring.
The only odd thing is that you drive about 3 miles from the park entrance to the campground, only to essentially swing back to being close enough to Highway 27 to hear the road noise.
Our second stay here, and we loved it again.

Having a good time here. Nestled between two little lakes and near Lake Louisa. Makes this a nice spot. I can hear a bit of road noise but not too bad. Lots of room for big rigs here. Look on the way in from the main road for the bald eagle in the nest.

Stayed here on March 7th, the temperature was cool so we didn't have our windows open. Didn't hear any road noise that the others have said even while out walking. Price paid reflects all taxes and reservation fees. Lake Louisa is different than some of the other state campgrounds that we had stayed at due to the lack of trees for shade. This once was an orange grove so the sites are kind of out in the open, which would make it get pretty warm in the summer months I would imagine. The sites do have small vegetation and trees between sites that give some privacy. There are a few sites that have full hook-up that isn't mentioned on their website , Dixie loop sites 16,18,20 and 30 and in Sandhill loop sites 32,33,34(HC),35,36(HC),37,38,39 and 40. The restrooms were very clean and well maintained by the camp host with laundry facilities. There are miles of trails(sandy) for hiking, biking or horse back riding that wander out into the open areas and around the lakes. There is bike, kayak and canoe rental available. The check in was great with very friendly staff and they also have a very cute t-shirt for sale at only $15.

We try to never arrive at night but couldn’t avoid it this time. We used our phone GPS and it took us to the back entrance. We the used the Campendium directions and made it to the right entrance. The campground sites are typical of Florida State parks. We enjoyed our stay.

Great site, lots of vegetation between most sites. Beautiful hiking! Many trails, one of which is a hike around a lake.

The state park is very large and has a large number of hiking trails and several lakes. Once you are in the park it is a long, drive to the campground. The camping area is situated between Dixie and Hammond Lakes. Lake Louisa is on the opposite end of the park. The campground has 3 loops, each loop with about 15 sites.
Outside the state park there is quite a lot of business areas, restaurants, and things to do. Very close to Disney.
We love being close to nature, however we encountered a territorial bird at our campsite who kept attacking the RV, and that in turn frustrated our cats to no end.

We had a great time at this park. If you're from Florida you get used to the flat lands that most of the state has to offer. The park has some hills and creates some very nice views of the land surrounding you. We had the opportunity to hit some of the trail system throughout the park. The trails were clear and very easy to navigate. The campground is about 3 miles at the end of the road. We had not problems getting the fifth wheel in and out. The ranger at the gate was kind enough to fully explain our site and even recommended that we come in from the wrong direction to allow for easier hookup on our particular site.We found it to be very quiet back there with little traffic. We plan to come back again in the near future.
*One item to note, when you are using GPS, make sure you are choosing the correct entrance. You want the entrance off of Hwy 27. Take it from me, you don't want to end up at the trailhead entrance on the backside of the park, especially with a fifth wheel in tow. But hey, that made for an adventure on it's own.
