“over 5 million visitors a year”
The South Rim is the most accessible part of the park and is open all year, averaging 7000 feet/ 2134 m above sea level. The South Rim of the Grand Canyon attracts over 5 million visitors each year and by far is the most visited side of the Canyon. That's because it is the most accessible and provides the most amenities. As with all sides of the Canyon, the South Rim features astounding views of what took Mother Nature millions and millions of years to create. That why it has earned the distinction as one of the world's Seven Wonders. The U.S. Forest Service operates Ten-X Campground 2 miles/3 km south of Tusayan, early May through September. No hook-ups or showers; pit toilets and cold water faucets are located throughout the campground. Group sites and 15 of their 70 family sites may be reserved through Recreation.gov, and the fee is $10 per night for one vehicle.

Definitely one of my top 10 places to have ever stood and experienced...
The size and vastness of the Grand Canyon can never fully be conveyed in words, you have to stand on the rim and look across the iconic canyon to truly understand and experience this world wonder. Totally worth the drive out there!
Tip: buy the entrance pass online. It will save you time at the gate.
We started our Grand Canyon trip at the east rim and drove to south rim
The east rim has the watch tower and many stopping points on the way to the south rim that are not crowded❤️
Beautiful views where u can take pics without people in the pic
The closer we got to the south rim the more crowded it became
Breath taking place that need to be in your bucket list. I am serious.
Before going there I came here and read the review but I couldn't to relate to none of them, wich makes me believe that each person has their own experience, their own feeling there. You will be amazed.
It was amazing! You can't describe it, definitely have to come and experience it for yourself and enjoy the beautiful views specially right before sunset!🌅😍👍🏽 one less item off my bucket list.
Incredible. It will take your breath away. It's better than the pictures. MUST GO!
Its windier than I expected, and parking was a little difficult, but overall a great site to see. If you are going in the winter, remember to bring a hat even if it says its going to be fairly warm.
The South Rim is where you want to go to check out the Grand Canyon. The views are beyond comprehension, especially during sunset.
Way better experience on this end of the rim.
