If I could give a 10-star rating, I would! Situated half way between Mt. Rushmore and Rapid City, this is one of the best campgrounds. Friendly people, absolutely cleanest bathrooms, cute little cottages, and the communal patio/gazebo-like lounging/campfire area was simply stunning with gorgeous landscaping and flagstone-laid walkways. A new bar is going in and next summer when the cell tower goes up across the street, their cell/internet service will improve. HIGHLY recommend this awesome get-away!!
I read the 1 negative review and I don’t get it.
Our family of 4 have AT&T and Verizon and we have service. Even if we didn’t,that’s how being in the mountains can be.
Everyone here has been SUPER nice, the grounds are beautifully kept with hardscapes, trees and flowers. The spaces are a little tight but room for our 28’ airstream and F250 crew cab no problem. I’d rather the spaces be a little tight than have less of them to accommodate us.
I took 2 showers with no issues. They are clean and functional and nobody fussed at me for being in there for about 15 min.
The taproom is a basic bar with a hand full of local beers/wines snacks and pizza. Most RV parks don’t have anything at all outside of a small store so I thought this was a bonus. We hung out for a couple of hours, ate pizza with the kids and mapped out our next day with the help of the nice lady working there. She’s gave us tips on where to go as we only had 1 full day.
It was awesome.

Nicely kept resort. Gravel sites surrounded by lawn. There is a small taproom on site that serves beer/wine/snacks. Has a very nice BBQ patio behind the taproom/office, as well as a group fire pit. The hookups are shielded from the neighbors by a small section of 6’ fence. Staff is very pleasant to deal with. Cell service & wifi are hard to get but their public wifi works in and around the taproom.

Small park with RV sites and cottages. When you arrive in RV, stay to left to register. Not enough clearance to drive through cottage area. Do not use address with Garmin as it will take you to a private driveway. Need to use GPS coordinates and drive will come up quick.

Stayed recently at this place: (we are full time RVers; we arrived early and the Husband Owner let us check in with a $25 early fee-our fault so warranted)
Pros:
-Workers Tom & Tammy are darlings! Great people!
-Taproom is meh (limited selections beer & wine but at least it is there).
-Scenic, as most around here are
Cons:
-RV spaces are narrow.
-Absolutely no cell service-so if you work from your RV you have no cell/very limited WiFi service that you have to leave your rig to get.
-Showers are only to be 10 minutes.
-No cable
-No Restaurant
Overall, after staying here we will not return or recommend to our RV communities. The Owner Wife (forgot her name) made us feel uncomfortable right off the bat with a feud with their neighbor, this is not your customers problem. Wiping a customers area in the bar several times while they are still seated-drinking, is intrusive and takes away from their relax time. Wait until they leave-I do believe she doesn't even realize she is doing this. Don't complain about prior customers to current customers-again, not our problem. The overall feeling was to look and don't touch with the amenities. Just left us feeling very uncomfortable.

We had a change in plans and needed a place for one night. It worked out great. If we had more time I definitely would have stayed longer. We have a 30’ Airstream and we were able to get in and out of site with no problems.

If you want an affordable cottage about 30 minutes outside of rapid city, stay here. Some rooms are tiny but exrreamly clean and cozy.
