“NASA's Space Shuttle Home”
The Johnson Space Center has been home to the nation's human space flight programs. Johnson Space Center is the lead center in the design and implementation of the International Space Station, coordinating the efforts of 16 spacefaring nations. The station is a microgravity research platform where astronauts and cosmonauts live and work for months at a time. While the shuttle astronauts primarily train, work and plan their missions at Johnson Space Center, they launch from Kennedy Space Center on the space shuttle. JSC strives to capture and channel students' interest in science, mathematics, engineering and technology.

Lots of fun things to do. A lot of people have said that there is not much to do for adults but I thought there was a lot to do. We had a blast and still felt like we didn't have enough time to see everything as much as we would have liked to. We arrived about 30 minutes after they opened and stayed until closing. We felt that doing the two tram tours first helped get get away from the crowds quicker and was cooler then going in the afternoon. The food was good, just a little expensive like a theme park. We payed $25 for 2 burgers and 2 drinks. There was a lot of variety of food options but there were only 2 options open, the rest of the places were closed, which i thought was unusual since there were a lot of people wanting to eat. Definitely a must see if in the area, I will come back again next year when they open up there new exhibit, and I will come back for there level 9 tour that gives you a behind the scenes tour of the space center.
This is the same spot as the Houston space center on this app. It was confusing!
Brought my 11-month old here in September of 2014 and had an absolute blast. This is an amazing facility. There's a big cafe, massive gift shop (be prepared to spend money, I maxed out a credit card here). I highly recommend going on the tram tour. It's absolutely worth it. I can't wait to go back.
Big museum facility. Two tram tours that overlap a little (good if you want to see the moon rocket twice). Big theater for historic footage screening. Nice gift shop for your geek tshirts and more. We took little kids and grandparents - fun for all. A must visit for anybody in the area.
