“relax at the beautiful lakes”
Ready to relax? Let's head for Shakamak. Three man-made lakes offer 400 acres of water for fishing and boating while a new family aquatic center provides swimming fun. About two-thirds of the campsites are in a wooded area, offering cool shade in the summer and beautiful fall colors in autumn. Nearby is a play field area for family fun. A popular feature of the park is the group camp.

Great place to camp. They have pull spaces for large motor homes with 50 Amp electric. They also have several nice shower houses and plenty of dumpsters for dumping trash. Each site includes a fire pit, electric, and picknick table. Online reservations was a breeze. The only negative is the main parts of the park are a good distance from the camping. The pool is wonderful and many trails to explore.

This is just a beautiful Indiana State Park located near the small community of Jasonville, Indiana which offers simple dining, grocery store, hardware store and fuel. The park has numerous recreational activities to include 3 lakes spanning some 400 acres that are known for spectacular fishing, seasonal family aquatic center for swimming with a large water slide, seasonal nature center, and several hiking trails. The campsites are in a heavily wooded area with fantastic tree canopy for shade and comfort. Sites are mostly level gravel pads ranging from primitive to 30 amp electric, 50 amp electric or a limited number of full hookup; water, sewer and 50 amp service sites plus plenty of clean bath houses. Large rig friendly. The park also has family cabins available. A small camp store supplies firewood, ice, bait and sundries...Indiana fishing license at the park office. Want to relax...enjoy beautiful sunsets on the lake, paddling a canoe or kayak, or casting a line for dinner...this is a perfect place to make that happen.

Very nice park with good trails for hiking and tons of water activities.
If you want to fish, kayak, or just view 3 Great Lakes this is your spot
Lots of things to do and with family and weather was great, we will be back
Showers were clean, campsite well maintained, our space was alittle close to our neighbors and would look to try and get site 33-35 next time but did not hamper our enjoyed this park a lot.
They had some live music on Friday night by 3 guys with instruments and speaker equipment at the camp host site and this was just icing on the cake of a great long weekend, played some classics that all ages enjoyed

Nice park - the lakes aren’t too exciting to kayak but decent. We hiked a trail which was alright. Overall, the park was ok but I’d have no reason to go back. The campsites were pretty nice though - pretty spacious and on the outer edges, provided lots of shade.

Arrived to our campsite discovering a newly constructed area for RV’s. Site well maintained and level with electrical hookup, and plumbing has been run for future water hookup. Great trails and fishing opportunities.

We were here from Wednesday through Friday night. The campground was busy, but fairly quiet. Our site on the outer loop (by the lake) was shady and private. Sites are large and the pads are gravel and level.

We are new to camping but enjoyed our weekend here a lot. The camp sites were large and shaded and the restrooms were clean and had good showers. The kids LOVED the pool but were a bit bored with the hiking since there were no “rugged” trails 😂

One of my favorites! Large, level sites, very clean, and very friendly staff. So relaxing!
133 Electric sites, 8 full hook up, and 42 Non-Electric.
Super easy to get in and out, large campers can easily navigate.
Several locations to pick up water, and a decent dump station. Also, several shower houses available.

We stayed here in our Class B van. Our site was across the street from the shower house. It was clean and easily accessible. There were plenty of park staff out and about if ever needed. All the sites were well shaded. We enjoyed this park.

Spacious sites in wooded state park setting. Shower houses clean, and some are brand new. Beautiful lake and nice trails. The annual Fall Festival is busy but lots of fun for families. Some T-Mobile service.
