We arrived just after check in time and (staff) Caleb greeted us by name. He was so helpful, friendly, and informative.
When we were getting ready to leave for our day of sight seeing, a worker was busily cutting the grass by the campers- and it wasn’t really tall- the whole area is well maintained including the bath house. I don’t really use the bath house, but I always check them out and these are neat, clean, and well maintained. Everything at this campground looks new- picnic tables are clean and very sturdy.
We were at site 7 and it was very quiet toward the end of the campground. We saw several deer wander through.
There was an area by our site where we could walk down to the water (carefully) but it was a bit of a steep hill.
We were able to get 4 local channels on our tv through antenna and had just enough signal to watch two short YouTube videos using an iPhone. The android hardly got signal.
We stayed here 2 nights (Su & Mo) on our way home after a week of camping in NW Arkansas at several other state parks. We appreciated the full hook ups and quiet atmosphere.

We stayed at Moro Bay State Park for 2 nights during late March. This campground offers spacious, level, concrete sites...most of which back up along the water. They also have sites that are full hook-up. There is a store on site, hiking trails, a playground and a marina offering boat rentals. We would recommend this park to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in southern Arkansas!

Another really well maintained CG in the Arkansas SP system. All the sites are level, some with great lake views. A great spot just to relax or fish ( we don't have a boat, lots of locals here do). Only negative are 3 lamp posts which kind of kill stargazing from your site, but maybe that's too critical. I'd visit again.

This is a very nice state park. Everything looks new and the sites and roads are all paved and pretty level. We didn’t notice a lot of road noise from the highway, but there was some. It is a very well-lit area especially around the restrooms. Restrooms and showers were clean and well maintained. The only draw-back was it is about 20 miles one way to the nearest grocery store and about 12 one way to the nearest gas station. Other than that it was a very nice place to spend a week.

This is a great state park with 23 nice, fairly level back-in spots with plenty of space between the sites complete with extra parking, patio, and tent pad. There is an air-conditioned bath facility and a nice small store. It is about 20 miles to the nearest store so make sure you have supplies. This was the second time we stayed here this year, and things seemed different. When we were here in March there was a park host/ranger driving through on a regular basis and someone emptied the trash cans every day. This time we never saw anyone that appeared to work here except when we checked in. When we checked in the young girl that was working the desk was not very friendly and acted like I really put her out by stopping at the office. There was also another lady sitting in the office on a computer who never looked up or spoke. I only stopped at the office because when they called to say our site was ready I was told I needed to verify my senior status. Other than that every at Moro Bay State Park was great except it was very hot.
