“A secret Missouri Treasure”
Grand Falls, on Shoal Creek, is one of Missouri’s most scenic destinations. The largest, continuously flowing natural waterfall in Missouri, Grand Falls plunges 25 feet to a solid ledge before flowing southward. Off I-44, exit 6; south on Route 86 two blocks; west on Glendale Road 1.5 miles; south on Jackson across the low-water bridge; immediately west on Riverside Drive two miles; Grand Falls is on the right.

I loved these falls. Sure, they're not the biggest falls, but they're definitely beautiful and very fun to photograph.
TIP: Bring a bathing suit, some swimming shoes and a towel. I wish I knew there was a fun wading area just a few feet from the falls themselves. I went in August of 2014 and it was so hot, that a dip in the river looked super enticing.
There aren't any bathrooms and it's very undeveloped, so just be prepared.
Visited the falls 5/26/2020 as part of our road trip from St. Louis (MO) to the Grand Canyon. It was a very nice spot to take break, and eat a snack. I would not recommend swimming here, but getting your feet wet in the cold water is very refreshing. The GPS, using the roadtrippers map was a little off with the location, as it was actually half a mile further down the road. But the directions where close enough to find the place.
Very beautiful site. The nice thing about this stop is that it’s up to you how you make it. It can either be a quick stop and great photo opportunity. On the other hand, grab a swimsuit, towel, and lunch and you have an afternoon lounging. Definitely recommend, at the very least stop by.
Very beautiful. Stopped on my way to Texas. Took some amazing photos in front of it & lots of fish for fishing!
This is a great natural-site to visit. Totally worth the stop. There are no shelters, bathroom, tables but sometimes it's worth it to make a stop for a beautiful view.
Eh. It is pretty, but too under-developed to make it a good road-trip in the middle of the hot summer. No shade, shelter, bathroom, not even a picnic table to eat a snack at.
Beautiful little place to stop. We were there mid-day and there was only one other couple there. Really nice little break from a long drive.
Beautiful. Got there mid day on a Tuesday and we had the place to ourselves, very peaceful
Nice little stop. Climbed the rocks with the kids, enjoyed the falls. Good 15 min break on our road trip.
This is beautiful! It was so awesome near sunset!
