“the most popular bed and breakfast in Kalamazoo”
The historic Henderson Castle in Kalamazoo is a breathtakingly beautiful American castle. The former owners loved it so much some people believe the former owners never left...even after they died. Built by Frank Henderson in 1895, the castle has been steeped in legends and lore ever since it was first constructed. You see, Frank made his fortune by creating medals and pins for secret societies. When he'd amassed enough wealth he built the Queen Anne-style castle on West Main Hill. The house was owned by several different people over the years after Frank died. And many believe it's haunted. In fact, the house has such a paranormal reputation it's been used in a few horror films. In addition to Frank and his wife Mary, people have reported to seeing the specter of a young girl whose dressed in Victorian garb. The girl is said to warn guests of the castle to "go away." - Roadtrippers From Henderson Castle: "Welcome to The Henderson Castle, the most popular bed and breakfast in Kalamazoo. Reviews
Apparently haunted too.
Beautiful castle. I enjoyed getting to see all the old furniture and décor. We didn't pay to do the tour and I am glad, we got to experience the castle on our own and that was enough for us.
