English House a B&B

Experience the old-fashioned concept of a bed and breakfast at English House, an excellent alternative to the ordinary hotel routine. When you step into English House you cannot help but be swept back in time.  Tall ceilings, a beautiful chandelier, and lots of windows invite you into this historic home. As pioneers in Mineola, the English family was among the first to build on historic Johnson Street, a mere 3 blocks from downtown.  "Babe" English lived in the house until his death at 90 years.  He willed the house to his sister who celebrated her 102nd birthday while living here.  As an honor to this family, we proudly use the name English House. English House has been renovated to keep the integrity and charm as originally designed.  We successfully have established a historical marker.
