“Overnight Camping & Paddle Boarding”
Trip begins at the historic Dewey Bridge. This is a flatwater section called “postcard alley”. Rightfully named, the scenery is one of the most beautiful and photographed areas of the Southwest Desert. During the course of the day, your guide will be preparing you for whitewater stand up paddle boarding. Each of our guides are certified paddle board instructors. Camp is at Onion Creek Rapid, the first rapid of the Fisher Towers Daily. The scenery at this spot is unlike any other. Once at camp, you can relax on the beach or we can go play in Onion Creek Rapid. Dinner is freshly prepared for you. DAY 2: The day is started with a healthy breakfast. Once camp is all packed up, it is time to put your stand up paddle boarding skills to the test. The Fisher Tower’s section of the Colorado River is an excellent section to learn how to safely navigate whitewater. This section is a class II/III section. Class III during spring run off (April-May) Class II the rest of the year.

Awesome experience. Experiencing the river and desert this way gives a person a much deeper connection to the land and creates lasting memories. The guides are knowledgeable locals who were able to share a lot about geography, ancient people and of course paddle boarding. This is an adventure that Paddle Moab makes accessible to every body-young, old, fit or not. The guides are patient, helpful and FUN!
I have had the pleasure of experiencing this section of river before but from a raft. Last year we tried SUPing this section. It was a completely different experience. IT WAS AMAZING! The guides are skilled, fun and know the river like the back of their hand. I had never done whitewater before but they prepared me for it every step of the way. Most of our group decided to play in the rapids once camp was set up and it did not disappoint. This is also one of the most beautiful place in the world. (There is honestly no way to be unhappy with the views) Would do this again and definitely choose Paddle Moab over anyone else. Josh was knowledgeable and he is a great instructor. Our group had a stellar experience. Thanks Paddle Moab!
So Much Fun, great guides and very knowledgeable
