“A natural beauty”
The Norfolk Botanical Garden (155 acres) is a botanical garden with arboretum. It was first called the Norfolk Azalea Garden and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. More than forty themed gardens are spread across site. Some gardens focus on a single plant (camellias, hydrangeas, roses), others look at a plant from a specific region (Japan, Virginia), while others provide homeowners with great ideas and or new plants to use in their own garden.

Very cool at Christmas time . You drive thru the gardens and thru the whole place they have the most amazing lights and Christmas decorations set up. Been doin this since i was little . I guess its known to only locals of the hampton roads area , but still a very neat place to go around Christmas !
The Norfolk Botanical Garden is an absolutely beautiful place. This is a 158-acre public garden that features over 60 gardens and plant collections. The gardens feature a variety of flowers, trees, and plants from all over the world.
The Norfolk Botanical Garden also has several events and programs throughout the year. They offer classes, workshops, and even summer camps for kids.
Spring is especially a beautiful time to visit as the gardens come alive with color. But honestly, it's amazing any time of year.
We think a visit here is one of the best things to do in Norfolk, VA!
Absolutely stunning and serene, I wish I had budgeted several more hours here. I carried my baby but you could get around most places with a stroller.
