Mazama Campground lies immediately within the Annie Spring Entrance Station south of Crater Lake. The facility consists of 198 campsites some of which are accessible for individuals using wheelchairs. The sites at this facility are available on a first come, first served basis from mid-June through early October. Each site at Mazama Campground consists of a fire ring and picnic table. Campground amenities include drinking water and flush toilets. Evening programs are conducted at this site through the summer. The Annie Creek Canyon Trail is accessible from the campground.
What a joke this turned out to be. Trying to book online is not possible, no way to navigate through the website. So called spoke to 3 different women/girls and got 3 different answers as to how the sites were listed/booked. One said it was just the TT, another said it was combined pull behind and truck, and the 3rd didn't have a clue either way!
Had booked so that we would have an ADA site for the night without electric then would move to a electric site for the other 2 nights. Was told both sites would fit our 50' total length just fine.
You don't get to pick your sites they assign them once you arrive. So the girl working the desk said she could get us into one site for all three nights, non-electric. That's fine we have solar, plenty of batteries and a built in generator, no problem no matter the weather. Well that site might have been doable if the trees on either side of the back in site and across from the site were gone. NO WAY! NO HOW! She had offered another site for the first night with power. We decided we'd go try that one for the 3 night stretch first. When we got back to the counter to tell her that wouldn't work the other site that was available for the first night was gone.
So after the young girl had to go through all of that with the sites and had already gone through the archaic way of getting the senior NP pass refunded, which had to be done for the original two sites separately
she now had to do a 3rd and 4th refund for the remaining amounts for the first two campsites as we now had NO WHERE TO STAY IN MAZAMA! Sold out for the next 3 nights. And the real kicker - 10 days before being refunded the funds in 4 different payments :(
Supposedly next year they are going to be using recreation.gov. THANK YOU!!!! maybe then the ones that own the campers and the ones that know how to pick PROPER sites for themselves will be able to do so. In addition it should solve the having to pay full price then be refunded for the senior pass once you arrive.
The girl told us we could stay out at sno park lot about 15 miles outside of the NP/CG. So that is what did for a night. Not sure what we'll be doing for the next two nights :(
not filling in the stars as we didn't stay. Only thing we ended up doing was to dump & take on fresh water.
NO GAS available in the campground, being re-done or torn down? So it's a minimum of a half hour drive back out for gas.
Access into sites - TIGHT even in sites we just drove by many of them would have been tight to fit a larger rig in with the trees at the front of sites and such narrow roads around the loops.
Location - beatiful surroundings, still having been here for 5 hours now have not been able to go see what we came to see :(
Site Quality - see access
Noise - mid day seemed quite enough
WOULD ONLY COME BACK AGAIN IF AND WHEN YOU CAN BOOK YOUR OWN SITE PRE-ARRIVAL AND IT DESCRIBES THE SITE SIZING

Very nice campground just down the hill from Crater Lake. Sites are well spaced and have picnic tables, fire rings, bear proof food containers on site. Water is near by. Lots of trees giving you opens for sunny and shady sites. Sites are spread out over multiple rings labeled A, B, etc to G. There are only 3 showers for the entire campground and all are located in F ring. Pretty ridiculous especially if you are located far away. You might get to the washroom and find many people in line waiting.
Other than that, there is a camp store which is well stocked. There is also Annie's Restaurant with wifi. No reception anywhere we found with both T-mobile and Verizon.

We reserved 2 days before arriving. Very close to crater lake rim. Was not able to get any hookup sites but no biggee. They choose your site with the information you give. Our pull thru site was facing the wrong way for our travel trailer but we fixed that by going the opposite direction. Restrooms were not the best. Men’s room was disgusting. Women’s room usable but not real clean

Mazama Campground offers a serene retreat nestled within Crater Lake National Park, surrounded by a lush forest that provides privacy and tranquility. The reservation process requires you to provide your dates and size of RV and are assigned a site when you arrive. As I walked around it appeared pull-through sites were for RVs and trailers, and back-in sites that were assigned to tent or car campers. The pull through sites were long, some are asphalt and others dirt. Our site D5 was asphalt and level. The amenities, including clean bathrooms, accessible water spigots, and regular trash collection, contribute to a comfortable stay. The general store is a convenient spot for registration, fuel, and showers, it's also the starting point for exploring the breathtaking Crater Lake via tour bus or personal vehicle. Even though a forest fire limited visibility of the lake, Mazama Campground remains a memorable destination for its natural beauty and well-maintained facilities.

Decent campground with large sites and showers. The new concessionaire seems to be doing a good job of maintaining the campground. I stayed in site E28, which was pull through, without hookups. The site does back up next to a trail, so expect random hikers walking by, staring into your camp site. Most sites are somewhat spaced out but there is not much privacy overall. Ultimately, the location inside the park is is the biggest plus for this campground.

As mantioned in another review, boondocking is OK, but rather limiting. Overall, it was a nice spot, one with some opening to the sky for the rooftop solar cells to "see" some sun getting us back up to full charge during the day. The one thing was the picnic table being on the opposite side of the RV's door. Close to restrooms and trash dump. Wife and I each had next-to-zero AT&T cell service - only the occasional text would get through during the stay (we both have iPhone 14s). Some smoke from nearly campers' fires morning and evening which bothered my wife a bit. Watch-out for the large rocks "guarding" site entrances. The site was paved and near level.
Check-in seemed to be a "blow-off" with the young lady. When askling about tours, we were informed that they were handled by a different company and check with them.
The Crater Lake rims' "Trolley Tour" at $36/person (senior rate) was interesting and informative. It was the highlight of the stay. We went up on the 9 am shuttle to the top, did the 10 am "rim tour" back at a 12 noon, then "chilled" until able to get 3pm trolley back down to Mazama.
The question "Would you camp here again?" is a quialified "no" - the experience was "ok", but not one probably to be repeated.

This is one of the best campsites we've ever had. It was huge and had a wonderful view. There are several loops in this section, and we had a hard time fitting down some of the roads -- definitely pay attention to the color-coded max site suggestions!

We LOVED it here.Campsites were not super spacious, but it was enough for some peace and quiet! Beautiful trees and area. Convenient to the Rim (about 15 minutes) which made it easy to head up for hiking and back to the trailer for lunch. No Verizon or TMobile coverage (unless you count at the top of Wizard Island!) but Sam was able to pay for wifi at the nearby restaurant to get some work done while I explored with the kids. Crater Lake just might be our new favorite park!

So yeah, this is an awesome campground. Ample dead wood that you're allowed to gather, saving you the $6 at the store. The other reviews sum up most of the other perks of staying here.
My disappointment rests solely in the facts printed in the newspaper and on the website and the lack of those facts being factual upon arrival.
25% of the 240 sites here are first come first serve. No reservations needed. Get there first, the site should be yours. If it were a picture, I do believe you'd get it.
So we rolled in before noon and I asked if anything was available.
"Yeah, I've got 2 spots," he said to my lighting eyes and perky ears. "For 1 night."
"Oh, aren't there first come first serve sites?"
"All of our spots are first come first serve," the Xanterra employee told me. "Except for the reservations."
I was happy for at least one night and took it. But as we pulled into the campground, there weren't even 10 sites being occupied.
Hey kids, it's math time. What's one quarter of 240? Good job little Timmy, it's 60.
So 60-10 equals we should have scored a spot for the weekend, which we did not.
Oh and you know those Words from a Mountain poems you see in national parks? The guy who created them was there and we met him and it was pretty cool.
