The RV sites were all dry camping. They have a dump and a fresh water station. Many of the sites were along Monument Creek, and we could hear the water babbling through the RV. The campground stayed fairly quiet and there are generator hours posted (some of which ran them the whole time they were able to).
All sites are near their runway, but no worries, only small planes land and take off. Over the two days, we only saw two planes and they both landed and took off during the daytime.
All day access to the hot springs, heated indoor saltwater pool and two indoor hot tubs is 15/adult and time is 7:30a to midnight. They also have an ice museum, trails, 4 wheeling, etc. Plenty to do (all at a cost). The pool house was mostly families with kids, as the hot springs are 16 and over.
There isn’t much between Chena Hot Springs and Fairbanks, so make sure you have food. They do have a small restaurant onsite, if you are into it.
Washers and Dryers were 4 or 5 dollars a load, so make sure you have clean clothes!
There is a faint 2G cell signal on Verizon, but nothing on AT&T or T-Mobile. They do have WiFi access you can purchase. We got 12 hours for $2.50, but you have to buy it online on the splash page to get that price. Otherwise, it’s $8 if you buy it at the office. Also pricing is PER DEVICE.

As you enter the resort, the upper campground is on your left. You will first see side by side sites, very crowded and close together. Scout the loop towards the runway if you are a big rig. There are big rig friendly sites in the loop, but there is a small loop off the main loop where a big rig will have some trouble making the corner. We witnessed this several times sitting in our site #8. This part of the campground reminds us of a FS campground a bit rustic/tired. Sites are dry. pretty level, picnic table, pit toilets, trash, fire pit. If you get lucky you can score a creekside site. There are some pull throughs, most are back in. Some sites have a limit of 25’, although not sure why on some. There are also sites on your right as you enter near the yurts. All sites are FCFS. Select your site and pay in the main lodge. No cell service.
Lots to do here: hotsprings, hiking, walking paths, biking, ATV tours, horseback riding, Ice Museum, restaurant dining, dog kennel next door, free WIFI in the hotel lobby, free tour of the greenhouses and power plant, watching the resident moose.

Site was a decent size and level
We opted for a site that was not tucked in with the trees to avoid mosquitoes.
No outhouse, showers or hookups. We showered in the pool area after using the pool. Generators were running as they always are when there are no hookups 🙄.

The campground is dry camping. There’s no cell service. There is Wi-Fi in the resort, but it does not reach over the campground. Everything seemed to be $20. $20 for the site, $20 to go into the hot springs pool, $20 to go into the icehouse, $20 for a drink in the icehouse. Definitely a lot of things to see.
