“as thin as a crisp”
A difficult trail for beginners, this steep trail offers many beautiful views of the lake and other areas. Worth the challenge, but be sure to bring extra water, as summer temperatures can be extreme. Portable restrooms can be found at various locations around the lake, no facilities are available on the steep climb to the peak.

Cool photo, but it just doesn't seem right if that piece breaks off because of people sitting on it.
Love Mt. Woodson! The hike from Lake Poway is definitely quite a trek. There's also a trail from Ramona but it's a service road so I guess it's not much of a trail..still difficult though! Not as long as the trail from the lake but definitely much steeper. My glutes were sore for days!
Beautiful lake. The hike was hard, but likely was worse for me because I went mid day when it was so hot. No mercy of any shade. The rocks was fun to take pics on but not sure the hike was worth it
