“A magical twist”
Fireplaces, comfortable beds, fine linens, private baths, line-dried sheets, fresh flowers, home-baked goodies, full sumptuous breakfasts and candlelit evenings await you. And in balmy weather enjoy a lemonade, a good book or a memorable conversation on one of our three comfy porches. The Pratt-Taber, with an elegant Italianate design, was built in 1876 as a single family home. The finest materials were used to decorate the house... walnut for the intricate staircase and butternut for the massive doors, fireplace mantles and floors, slate for the fireplaces. During the 1950’s the house was turned into apartments and fell into neglect. Extensive remodeling took place in the 1980’s when the house was renovated to become a B&B. In 2005, a fresh new renovation took place when Deb Bylander purchased Pratt-Taber and lovingly restored the inn to reflect simple elegance and vintage décor. Deb has decorated the inn with her own touch of magic by using beautiful fabrics, unique painting techniques coupled with artistic wallpapers and classic timeless furnishings.
