“the oldest bed and breakfast in Salem”
Are you looking for a historical bed & breakfast to spend your vacation days with the whole family? If so, then call The Daniels House. The house was built in 1667 by Stephan Daniels, and was the private home of the Daniels family descendants for over 300 years. Before becoming a B&B, it was converted into a two-family house for a short period of time. In 1945, the home was converted into a restaurant and inn by the Haller family. Purchasing the property in 1962, Catherine Gill, has been the proud owner and innkeeper for over 50 years. As the oldest bed & breakfast in Salem MA, we are always happy to welcome new and old visitors, and provide them with a great experience. The residence is packed with antiques, preserved over the centuries, bringing back the magical atmosphere of the last few centuries. The antique pottery, majestic portraits, and the rest of the collectibles create a truly unique environment. The guests at our bed and breakfast are always left speechless by the amazing stories told by Catherine. The home itself is a living museum, where guests can take a step back in time. An electrifying emotion is felt, as soon as one steps through the door.
