After 5 hours on the road and ready to relax we arrived at our site to a pressure washer going nonstop for a hour. The bathrooms were okay but showers were dark.
Firewood to expensive $6.50 bundle.
This is an OK stop for an overnight stay and maybe a dip in their pool. The slide that they promote is not functioning, the store is not stocked, and this is a super small KOA. Pool is nice and clean. Bathrooms are pretty clean for being old.
Bad access for big rigs. Poor quality.

Most of the park is pretty shady which was great. Our particular site was relatively private in comparison but was really uneven. The pad itself was fine but the “yard” with the (tiny) fire ring and table was steep. You can’t sit a chair without a good lean. The pool was nice (water very warm. Deepest 5.5 feet). There’s a snack bar that’s only open on the weekends. Couldn’t get a straight answer on when the awesome water slide is open. Camp store was decent. Bathrooms were clean and big. Nice separate picnicking area near pool and a small dog run. Liked the pull through sites. They had 4 cabins, some tent sites, swings for the kids, an old wooden seesaw, some pool tables, fairly cheap breakfast from 6-10. Pool hours 10-8. Only 2 miles off the highway. Park wasn’t super busy on a Thursday in July.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but will only stay in KOAs if we want to pay double (we usually camp at state parks) for a pool.

There aren't many choices of campgrounds around the area. This was a pretty good place to stay if you had a smaller rig. Ours is 45' so we have to expect some size issues occasionally.
Gravel spot for us but they did have smaller ones with concrete. Very nice people. Trust their directions even if it looks like you are getting lost. The path there is kinda sketchy but it all works out. Would stay again. They have all of the typical KOA amenities.

We had to get out of NOLA for little hurricane Barry so we came here. We find KOAs to be very reliable; nice people, good services. It is close to the highway yet still in the woods.
Meridian is the closest town and while there we really enjoyed the Brickhaus Brewtique.
At the offramp for the KOA there is a big travel gas station so that is convenient.

This was one of the most peaceful KOA's we have ever stayed in. It is quite secluded and about 1 1/2 miles from the freeway so there is no traffic noise at all. Even the rare train horn is quite a ways off. Our site was plenty large for our 40' 5th wheel and tow vehicle and we had no trouble getting in. Most of the sites are for smaller rigs but they do have some that are just fine for large rigs. Lots of trees and very shady.
Full hook ups 50 amp and level gravel sites. Some the sites are concrete pads. There is a very comfortable swimming pool and the showers are in good shape. There is a kids play area and a 500' water slide as well.
The park is well kept and clean. wifi exists but is is not particularly useful. Verizon service was pretty good.

Good campground for overnight in route. GPS directions navigated through back roads but if one follows the website directions its an easy in/out from I20. Host very nice and accommodating. Site 3 was long and mostly level (did not need to disconnect trailer from truck). Quiet.

After a long day, I was greeted with a warm welcome from the new owners. Taken to my site and set up on a level spot which was tucked out of the way. Showers were clean and lots of water pressure. Convenient to I-20 (although maybe not for the really big rigs.) Overall solid location and I would stay again when on that route.

I had no reservations, the new owners Patty & Terry, were very kind & welcoming. My 13 y/o daughter and I stayed the night in this beautiful setting. Bathrooms and the showers are great. Pool is clean and everything shows the pride of the owners. I wish my house was this clean. Great place to stay.
