“a hidden gem”
Babylon Arch won’t put a ton of miles on your hiking boots, but it will put a smile on your face as you wind your way through the sandy red rock trail and pass through its beautiful formation. You have to keep a wary eye out for the arch, though. This particular hike has another nice addition besides the arch, and that is the Virgin River. Your final destination is the slow moving Virgin River, and it makes for a great way to cool down depending on the time of year.

These directions lead to to a golf course, the staff there said that they think there may be a trail that leads to Babylon Arch, but is a long ways away. I’d suggest stopping at a visitor center somewhere in Utah first, and maybe finding better directions.
We heard it's beautiful and worth it, but only attempt the drive if you have an all wheel drive or better a truck
the road to the arch is off-road and only advisable if you have a 4-wheel drive and off-road experience. recent rains covered it with sand. We had to get towed out. And the towing company said this happens a couple of times a week
Beautiful hike. Car got stuck in the sand on the way back out from the trailhead. 4 wheel drive works best.
There are sand roads the lead to the trailheads. Make sure that you are in an all terrain vehicle when visiting this spot. I drive a 2020 Ford Edge Sport. We got stuck in the sand while trying to exit this spot. Thankfully, this is a one lane road. We got some help from hikers, only to get stuck about half a mile away from the first spot where we had just gotten free from. It was over 100 degrees on this day. We are so thankful for the help given by the two local boys. They got on the hot ground and dug us out of the sand ditch. Please be careful!!
