Situated mid-valley in the historic town of Yountville, between St. Helena and Napa, the Museum provides unique experiences that enrich the cultural fabric of our community through exhibitions and educational programs. At Napa Valley Museum, explore the connections between our Valley’s environment, culture, history and creative expression. Learn about the unique geological make-up of the Valley which has made it one of the premier wine-growing regions in the world. Discover the Valley’s rich and dynamic history, from the original Native American culture and wine industry personalities to the lives and contributions of Chinese workers, German and Italian immigrants, migrant laborers and more. Enjoy exhibitions of local and regional artists including painting, sculpture, photography, print-making, film, video and crafts. Admission is $5 for adults, $3.50 for seniors and $2.50 for youth. Always free for Members. Our Mission: Napa Valley Museum (NVM) is dedicated to providing unique experiences that enrich the cultural fabric of our community through exhibitions and educational outreach. The Museum places the Napa Valley in a worldwide context by inspiring residents and visitors to learn about art, history and the environment. NVM enriches the community by collecting, preserving, and displaying art and artifacts. NVM believes the power of art and culture ignites the imagination, stimulates thought and provokes enjoyment. Artists who have exhibited at NVM include Ira Yeager, Charles O’Rear, Stephen DeStaebler among others. Land and People of Napa Valley is a permanent exhibition where visitors explore the Napa Valley’s unique geology, cultural development and earliest settlers. Students explore art, history, environment and science through hands-on activities. Our in-school programs are a centerpiece of our mission which is to serve and educate our community on all aspects of Napa Valley and the region.
